Recent Honors 

Recently, Martha Matilda Harper has risen from the forgotten with the publication of her biography Martha Matilda Harper and the American Dream (Syracuse University Press). Harper was one of 36 businesswomen spotlighted in Harvard University's "Enterprising Women" traveling museum exhibit. It began in Boston, and then traveled to New York City, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and ended in Detroit.

In May, 2006, Harper was the focus of an U.S. Embassy program designed to encourage businesswomen and men in the Ivory Coast, Africa. She continues to inspire and encourage people worldwide as they learn of her dynamic business model, which combines smarts with ethics.

Harper in the National Women's Hall of Fame 
What a come back! On the 125th anniversary of her business launch, Martha Matilda Harper was inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame, October 4, 2003 in Seneca Falls, New York. The town is often cited as the birthplace of women’s rights because it held the first women’s rights convention in 1848.  The National Women’s Hall of Fame, founded in 1969, has inducted 195 path blazing women already including Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton .
